Covering a Wide Range in a Random Way

Prediction: Landslide…

You heard it here first…

Landslide for Obama and McCain…

No that’s not the new ticket…

It’s a landslide for both candidates…

I know I sound confident…but I have proved the pundits wrong consistently…I was one of the first to say McCain would get all mavericky and pick the maverick from Alaska…I said Texas would beat OU…and now I say…

Obama will win the popular vote with huge margins in the millions in each of NY, CA, IL…
McCain will win the electoral college by keeping almost all red states except  a mix of NV, CO, NM and IA, but picking up PA and a possible district in NH…each of the battleground states by the slimmest of margins…and a word to those watching late night exit polling…don’t believe it…just like you shouldn’t believe the polls as they stand right now…

The polls just cannot be right.  The pollsters are basing their polling too heavily weighted in the favor of democrats.  Not only that, the early exit polls show a 1% advantage to democrats nationwide.  But what I haven’t heard is that a significant portion of those democrats are the energetic and enthusiatic voting block of PUMAs.  They have seen first hand the divisive tactics and strategy of intimidation by the Obama campaign during the caucuses.  They have experienced it first hand and are out for blood.  They number more than 4 million strong.  And they are strong! And they will make a difference.

In addition to the PUMAs, too many people are still undecided the day of the election…it seems Obama hasn’t closed the deal…this has nothing to do with the race or the so-called “Bradley Effect.” Too much emphasis has been put on the “Bradley Effect” by the campaign playing the race card the whole election.  The media have even reserved speculation that this may be the reason people will not vote for Obama.  But I believe we are better than that.  This is America.  Murtha might think we are racists, but I have a feeling he may be projecting…

The reason:

Two years without scrutiny by the MSM will not enable Obama to coast his way into the White House.  On the contrary, at the end of the day,  undecided voters will walk into the polling station feeling uneasy about voting for a man about whom they know very little.  The pollsters and the media claim that Americans are not interested in Obama’s nefarious friends and sketchy past.  And Obama rhetoric and oratory skills will not overcome what little undecided voters do know about his associations.

If only the MSM had properly vetted their candidate before anointing him?  Instead, they took it upon themselves to divert the attention away from the issues and in the direction of Palin because neither the Obama campaign nor the media had vetted Palin, and hence they payed to the public as if McCain didn’t. Oh yeah the eve of the election it turns out Palin has been cleared of the politically motivated investigation?  Is it too late for the media to investigate what a great job Obama did with the south side of Chicago?  It doesn’t have to be all negative.  Maybe they can produce a friend of Obama’s from before he was sworn in as a US senator from whom Obama is not distancing himself.

With all the new-found information about Obama, that the MSM has been suppressing for so long, finally coming up to the surface for all to view only now, if given another 5 days who wouldn’t guarantee a McCain victory?  Imagine how many great new ads would hit the air waves.  Coal states…check. Jewish and Christian Zionists…check. Free market capitalists…check.  Defenders of the Constitution…check.  All in the McCain column.

But I believe McCain doesn’t need 5 more days…and I really don’t think I could handle 5 more days. McCain has the momentum and the undecided voters will almost entirely break for McCain.  It’s a lot easier to supplant doubt in one’s mind, than to convince him you are The One.  As a result I think time may have run out on Obama and not the reverse, as conventional wisdom would have you think.  In addition to the experienced and well oiled machine that is the traditional republican get out the vote effort and the strength on the ground of the democrats for McCain who have been fighting against Obama for over a year, independent groups like GOPtrust.com, Team Sarah, the RJC, and a host of others exploiting Biden gaffes and Obama’s associations and policies, the McCain campaign has done enough to plant the seeds of doubt which will blossom into a McCain-Palin Victory.

McCain-282 Obama-256

Update: or not…

It appears the American people have chosen hope for the change of changing hope for change over substance…
